NASCAR Takes Historic Step with First-Ever Cup Series Race in Mexico City

NASCAR is making motorsport history this summer with the launch of its first-ever Cup Series points race held outside the United States in over six decades. Set for June 15, 2025, the Viva México 250 will take place at the famed Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, marking a major milestone in the league's push toward global expansion.

The decision replaces the traditional spring race in Richmond, VA, and is part of a long-term partnership between NASCAR and Mexican event organizer OCESA, known for hosting the city’s Formula 1 Grand Prix.
